Nowadays, it is essential for your business to have a website. But to actually get business from your website, it takes A LOT more than just “having one.” There are billions of websites out there, and depending on your territory, there are at least a handful that are in direct competition with yours. I’m sure a lot of you think that you need to have the newest, fanciest, and most technologically advanced website out there in order to get business from it, but that is not the case. One of the most important aspects to consider when it comes to increasing your website traffic, is to focus on the content.
When I speak about direct referral marketing, I know that the activities I teach people to do, help them to grow their businesses. They may not be able to control how many referrals they are given, and if those referrals become clients, but they CAN control how frequently they visit a facility, and how often they network, and the way they speak to social workers, etc. When it comes to your company’s website, you have even less control over the number of referrals that come in…but you still can control the ACTIVITY and CONTENT on your website, which drives up the traffic, and ultimately the referrals. Just as Val mentioned in the video above, it’s not always essential to add all the bells and whistles to your website, in order to increase web referrals…but it IS important to focus on the content you are providing to your readers and followers. Google has evolved to a point where it seeks out websites that have relevant, engaging content which updates regularly. This is how you get the SEO you are looking for!
Every week, you should be posting new articles or blog posts to your website, 400 words minimum. And the biggest key here is that they need to be unique. Duplicate content does not yield the same results as fresh, relevant content does, so make sure you are posting original articles.
